The Are You Radio Ready competition presented by Pepsi is underway! So far it has been a huge success. Over 137 artists have signed up, and we are by far exceeding our expected online visitors. Something in the relm of 20k hits per day on our voting pages.

Here's how the competition works:
Registration:
From February 3rd 2011 to February 28th 2011 all of the contending artists will register by going. Only artists and groups with their own original music will be permitted to enter. Upload as much of your material as possible. Mp3s, videos, links, etc... On March 1st the voting period begins.

Voting Period:
From March 1st 2011 to March 31st 2011 the people vote on the artists that they like the best. Direct your fans to your page to increase your votes. Be sure to include as much contact information as possible. Use this opportunity to direct people to your website, email, and media pages like Facebook and Twitter. We then take the top 16 artists based on who has the most votes. The top 16 advance to our 2 live performance qualifying rounds.

Live Performance Qualifying Rounds:
If you are one of the top 16 artists or groups to advance, we will split you into 2 groups of 8. One group will perform live at Skully's on Friday April 19th 2011 with headlinging act Talib Kweli. The other group will perform at Skully's on Saturday April 30th 2011 with headlining act Chip tha Ripper. Groups and artists will also increase their vote scores based on performance judging from top industry executives and tickets sold to their qualifying event. We will also upload video from your performance onto the websites for your fans to critique and vote on as well. On Friday May 6th we will announce the 2 winners from each qualifying round.

Final Round:
Once the final four are announced, the voting will reset back to zero. Artists will need a final push for their fans to continue voting for them. The final round with headliner Fat Joe will be held at Skully's on Fri May 20th.

Prizes:
One winner will be added to Power 107.5's music rotation. Pepsi will press their current album and put the winner on a summer Pepsi tour. Finalists will also receive sponsored prizes, studio time, and many other great packages.
